If this is hoax, it’s a good one, as it comes with a few bits of convincing detail we are not sharing with you.

Someone has written us, claiming to have gotten a glimpse of some signage being prepared for next month’s “Smallville” presentation at Comic-Con. His or her description:

On black, with crimson/red text in the same font lettering that Smallville uses, and a transparent grey Superman “S” watermark behind the text:

METROPOLIS

CHRISTMAS 2010

Then at the bottom is a banner advertising the Smallville presentation, with the time/place (can’t remember).

Other info this untested source sent us suggests “Metropolis” is a movie-length project, and not a new series.

Word is “Smallville” will conclude its 9-year run May 2010, so it makes sense that the CW would tack on a couple more production hours up there in Canada to make a Superman TV-movie that would run seven or so months after the series’ conclusion.

But what if Tom Welling isn’t putting on the red cape for the small screen? It doesn’t seem like 18 months is enough time to slap together a big-screen “Smallville” sequel, but I also seem to remember Warner Bros. kicking the first three episodes of “Clone Wars” to cinemas without a lot of notice.

This comes from an untested source, self-described as “Yoda’s Bitch,” so kindly take it all as rumor.

Also, I know I’ve been behind. I took a few weeks off for the holidays. No work and school was awesome. But a site revamp is definitely overdue.

This week on the CW’s Smallville (Thursdays at 8 pm/ET), Lana Lang (played by Kristen Kreuk) walks back into Clark’s life, and at a most inopportune time — at least as far as Lois is concerned. “[Lois and Clark] are both discovering how and what they feel,” Erica Durance previews in this video. “There is a moment when you think that they may actually admit that to each other… and then Lana comes back.”
Ms. Lang, of course, is not some everyday high-school flame to be casually dismissed. As Durance notes, “The writers did a lovely job of creating this amazing first love relationship for Clark… and you can’t take that away. What I worked really hard with the writers to portray is that Lois is sensitive to that.”
So even though “Lois is a fighter… she realizes that sometimes you need to be patient,” Durance says. The actress then adds, “We all know [Clark and Lois] end up together, but the joy is watching the journey. The more selfless Lois is with her love for Clark, the more she’ll deserve him.”

Ah… this is late, but here are 9 clips from last night’s episode. It was unbelievably adorable, squee worthy and everything in between. I can’t stop smiling as I type this, not to mention can’t stop replaying their scenes. I just love their chemistry this season and all their banter. I’ve always been a Lois fan, but this season’s Clark is completely growing on me. He’s playing along and definitely enjoying being around Lois more and more. Or even finding moments to spend more time with her. I don’t want this season to end!!

Cutest Couple: Smallville’s Lois & Clark. Or should I say, Smallville’s Lois & Smallville? Their chemistry is palpable. You could actually feel it in last night’s opening scene at Chloe and Jimmy’s engagement party. She razzes him incessantly and his face just lights up when he smiles at her. My apologies to those who prefer Clark with another, there is electricity between these two. And speaking of the sparks, I squealed like a school girl when she was forced, upon pain of electrocution, to admit her love for him last night. You too?
